I first learned about the wintergreen essential oil when my chiropractor said that I have some deterioration of my L5 disk located in my lower back. As I began researching various oils that would help with lower back pain and arthritis pain, this oil consistently came up.
When using wintergreen, you do have to make sure you are careful with it and especially don't use it when you are pregnant. The only recommend usuage that I felt comfortable with is 2 drops with a 50/50 mix of extra virgin olive applied topically to the feet. I would use a reflexology chart and apply it to the spine area, but sometimes I would apply it all over the foot. It makes for a great foot massage!!
Caution: Wintergreen can be toxic if used directly or frequently. Use with extreme caution.
To find out more about this oil, check Organic Facts website or the Essential Oil Desk Reference book found on Amazon. I purchased it online at Aura Cacia's website. Check them out today!
